Steven C. Overom
Steve Overom has been practicing law since 1976. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Minnesota-Duluth in 1973 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. He graduated Cum Laude from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1976.
Steve is licensed to practice law in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Steve is a Member of the American Bar Association, the Minnesota State Bar Association, the Wisconsin Bar Association and the 11th District Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Federal Court, Federal Bankruptcy Court and the Federal Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.
His primary practice areas are in Municipal Law, Estate Planning, Business Planning, Commercial Law, Corporate Law and he is Certified as a Real Estate Specialist by the Minnesota Bar Association.
Steve serves as General Counsel for the Duluth Seaway Port Authority, and as Special Economic Development Counsel for the City of Hermantown and the Hermantown Economic Development Authority.
In addition to Steve's law practice, he has involved himself in many organizations in the Northland. Steve is a former board member of the Miller Dwan Foundation Board of Directors, a present member of the Boys & Girls Club Scholarship Fund, a former board member of Saints-Hilltoppers Arena, Inc. and Northern Lights Foundation and a present board member of the Hermantown Legacy Fund.
Steve was a founding board member and active for years in the Lake Superior Girls Fast Pitch League. He is also a past board member of the Marshall School in Duluth, Minnesota. Steve also received a distinguished alumni award from the department of Economics at the University of Minnesota-Duluth.
